Dr Rolf Kuropka, CEO KRAHN Chemie Group presents two awards on his 1st visit to Petrico UK

Petrico’s Andy Lamb, MD, and members of the Petrico team were delighted to welcome Dr Rolf Kuropka, CEO KRAHN Chemie Group to their UK premises recently, his first trip to the UK office since the exciting acquisition of Petrico by KRAHN Chemie Group.
The new opportunities for growth and collaboration across European markets and the potential for committed and talented members of Petrico’s workforce to develop their professional skills and abilities, are welcome benefits of the acquisition.
On his inaugural site visit, Dr Kuropka awarded diplomas to two members of the Petrico team whose excellent professional achievements were acknowledged during a celebratory presentation:
Alex Galbur, Technical Sales Manager, was awarded a diploma in Sales & Marketing.
Ben Walter, Customer Service Coordinator, was awarded a diploma in Customer Services.
Ben is the 3rd generation family member to work in the oil industry and this award follows his successful ‘Young Employee of the Year’ Award, which was presented to him by UKLA President, Andrew Goddard at the prestigious UKLA Annual Dinner in November 2021.
Dr Kuropka warmly congratulated both recipients for their achievements, adding, “It was so nice meeting you and the team! Thank you for your hospitality, good mood and inspiration.”
Alex and Ben were enrolled on the Diploma courses in 2019 when Andrew Lamb saw an opportunity to help them both develop their knowledge whilst bringing valuable new skills to the business.
The day marked a celebration of next generation talent that is vitally important to help navigate the lubricants industry through what will be a challenging and innovative future.
